Homosexuality: An Agenda?

The homosexual activists keep saying that they have no "agenda"--that they merely want the rights and respect that everyone else gets. The Merriam-Webster online dictionary gives two definitions for the world "agenda":

1 : a list or outline of things to be considered or done <agendas of faculty meetings>
2 : an underlying often ideological plan or program <a political agenda>

Below are some of their own words as to their intentions:

From the American Civil Liberties Union Web site:

http://www.aclu.org/LesbianGayRights/LesbianGayRightsMain.cfm 12/23/02

"The ACLU has actively supported the struggle for lesbian and gay civil rights since the 1960s and in 1986, it established its national Lesbian and Gay Rights Project. Working in close coordination with the ACLU’s affiliates nationwide, the Project coordinates an extensive legal program and conducts a broad range of public policy and public education activities. The Project targets five areas for its litigation, lobbying, and public education activities: discrimination; family and relationships, including marriage; lesbian and gay teens and young adults; laws which criminalize sexual intimacy; and expression and association."

From the so-called "Human Rights Commission" Web Site:

http://www.hrc.org/  12/23/02

"HRC further calls on President Bush and the Republican leadership of Congress to show their commitment to equality for all Americans, including the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, by supporting civil rights legislation."

That, my friends, is the definition of an agenda!

Commentary 02/28/2007

Back in 2002 I wrote this page in response to a criticism from a homosexual on a forum. A Christian lady had quoted from my Web site that the homosexuals do indeed have an agenda. The homosexual used an ad hominem attack by quoting from my site: "Free the people from homosexuality", in which he tried to portray that sentence as an act of hatred or "homophobia". Homophobia literally means fear of (phobia) sameness (homo). Of course, they use the word to mean hatred of homosexuals. I am not afraid of homosexuals, nor do I hate them.

I have no hatred in my heart for anyone. I do reiterate the call of Jesus for all sinners to repent. When I call for freedom from homosexuality, I am referring to the act. The person is called a homosexual, not "a homosexuality".  I am not advocating the death of homosexuals. I am advocating a return to a godly lifestyle, in which the homosexual stops committing the act of homosexuality.

The freedom of which I speak is meant to come through spiritual education and encouragement, and not through the destruction of life.

Commentary 07/03/2003

The Supreme Court decision to strike down state laws against sodomy have opened the floodgates to homosexual activism. Homosexuals were already hard at work trying to undermine families and marriage (see excerpts above this commentary), and now feel more emboldened to increase their efforts.

Unless there is a conservative (or even moderate) Supreme Court majority soon, marriage in America is destined for destruction. Once homosexuals may "marry" one another, what is to keep someone from suing to "marry" their pet, or even an inanimate object? Marriage is being deliberately targeted for destruction.

Some have called for an amendment to the Constitution to ensure that marriage remains defined as being between a man and a woman. I am in favor of such an amendment. If we don't speak out, and put the brakes on this movement now, marriage in America will lose its meaning and importance to our culture.

Another important aspect of the attack on our culture by homosexuals is to declare "hate speech" against homosexuals to be a crime. What do they consider hate speech? Any declaration that homosexuality is a sin would be considered hate speech, intended to stir up hatred against homosexuals. We would be forbidden from preaching in our churches against this horrible sin. Remember Sodom & Gomorrah? They could no longer be mentioned legally, nor could the New Testament teachings against homosexuality be mentioned legally.

We must not stand idly by while homosexuals take away our freedom of religion. Of course, the devout among us will continue to condemn this ungodly practice, and may soon find ourselves prisoners for the Lord.

Many Christians may find themselves in prison for quoting scripture and preaching Christianity!

Read the Republican Contract With America that liberals still refer to contemptuously, and see what you think (notice that Bill Clinton took credit for much of what it undertook).

Now that the dust from the 2000 Presidential election has settled, we need to lobby for:

(1) Election day should a national holiday to allow an equal chance for all voters to go to the polls, not just union members, welfare recipients, and retirees.

(2) All polls must be closed in the entire United States before news people can start projecting winners.

(3) News stations, newspapers, and magazines must state their party affiliation or leaning. Opinions must be identified as such and not passed off as "news".

(4) In close elections, there must be a four-member canvassing board to review hand counts. They should consist of two representatives of each party whose candidate stands to win or lose on the strength of the recount. A minimum of three people must decide for whom the ballot was cast, else it is rejected as a non-vote.
