Thoughts Afire!

11-08-2004

Greetings! I am, for a few minutes, out of the fog of diabetes and medications for my various illnesses, so I take advantage of the clear-headedness to write a few more words.

The success of conservatives in the 2004 election is heartening. We must not rest on our success, but prepare for 2006. We need to increase the number of conservative Senators to at least 60, preferably more. This country has always been largely conservative. The liberals have taken over several important institutions, including the public school system, and the courts. They brainwash our children with their liberal ideas of abortion, promiscuous sex, and homosexual activity. Fiscally, they want to give the masses a hand out, not a hand up. That is called socialism, and it is never successful!

Let us create a "grassroots" effort by talking to our family, friends, neighbors, fellow workers, church members, and fellow students, about what makes this country great. Let us return to good morality and decent family values. Let us demand fiscally responsible government. Don't coast now! The liberals and socialists never do!

Be sure, when 2006 comes around, to get your Christian friends to vote. A lot of them don't, but it is important that we speak up on behalf of the righteous, the disadvantaged, and the innocent. Remember that the unborn that are being murdered in the womb! They have no voice, but ours!

Again, my apologies to anyone who was following my blogs. Illness has taken its toll by slowing me down, mentally and physically.

The Lord has granted George W. Bush four more years to lead this country! Praise God! John F. Kerry ran the most negative and despicable campaign that I have seen in my almost 53 years of life. He constantly lied, and he constantly railed against our wonderful President, trying to destroy his accomplishments and good name in the eyes of the American public, and the world. Thank God he was defeated!

Here is my prayer for our great President, George W. Bush:

Dear Lord God in Heaven,

Thank you so much for allowing George W. Bush to serve as our President for four more years. Please guide him in his difficult decisions for this country, and the world. Please bless him and his family with good health. Protect him. Protect us.

Lay your peace upon his heart, and plant your ways of justice, righteousness, and mercy in his mind.

Dear Lord, please touch the hearts of our enemies, that they might see the love and care that we in America have for them. May they lay down their arms and abandon their destructive ways.

Lord, please touch the heart of every leader of every nation, that they might pursue peace and freedom for all the citizens of the world.

Father, please bless our men and women who are around the world, in harm's way, and bring them safely back to their loved ones here at home.

God, bless George W. Bush. God, bless America!

I pray through the holy name of Jesus.

AMEN!

Yasser Arafat seems to be passing. Saddam Hussein is out of power in Iraq. The Taliban was ousted in Afghanistan. I pray that a new world is on the horizon--a world of peace, love, and harmony!

Read the Republican Contract With America that liberals still refer to contemptuously, and see what you think (notice that Bill Clinton took credit for much of what it undertook).

Now that the dust from the 2000 Presidential election has settled, we need to lobby for:

(1) Election day should a national holiday to allow an equal chance for all voters to go to the polls, not just union members, welfare recipients, and retirees.

(2) All polls must be closed in the entire United States before news people can start projecting winners.

(3) News stations, newspapers, and magazines must state their party affiliation or leaning. Opinions must be identified as such and not passed off as "news".

(4) In close elections, there must be a four-member canvassing board to review hand counts. They should consist of two representatives of each party whose candidate stands to win or lose on the strength of the recount. A minimum of three people must decide for whom the ballot was cast, else it is rejected as a non-vote.
