Blog Thoughts Afire! 09-21-2004 Sorry, but illness is keeping me from blogging like I would like. I got to see President George W. Bush in Portsmouth, Ohio, athe the Shawnee University campus on 09/10/04. He is a wonderful, down-to-earth speaker. He doesn't talk down to you, and seems like the guy down the street, or more likely, the guy on that farm just outside of town. It was a great "town hall" type rally, and I was happy to be a part of it. I just wish that I could have met him face-to-face, shaken his hand, and told him what a great job that he is doing for this country. On 09/16/04, I got to meet Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert at the Elks Club building in Ashland, Kentucky. I did get to shake his hand! Meantime, Dan Rther and CBS showed their true colors by promoting a false story against President Bush. It has since been discredited, and it has been found that Democrats, even some in the Kerry campaign, have coordinated a roll-out of new anti-Bush ads with the CBS "news" program. So much for the "news"! Except for Fox News, television "news" appears to be an extension of the Kerry re-election campaign! Don't trust the broadcast networks of CBS, ABC, or NBC; or MSNBC or CNN for your news. The fair and balanced presentation is on Fox News! You can also get real news from their Web site, and from newsmax.com, as well as the Washington Times' online site. Shame on Dan Rather, and CBS! 09-03-2004 President Geroge W. Bush is a proven leader! His speech last night at the Republican convention reminded us that this is truly a great man! There is no doubt in my mind that God raised him up at this time to be president of these United States! President Bush is a humble man, and a man of compassion. He carries the weight upon his shoulders of millions of people--not only here in the USA, but around the world. A lesser man would have crumpled under the heavy burden. Here is a man who hates war, but sees a need to defend his country. Here is a man who desires peace and freedom, not only for his country, but for the world. Who is John F. Kerry? A vapid, self-engrossed shell of a man, running the best shell game that he can to try to win the Presidency. America--and the world--deserve better. 09-02-2004 The RNC Convention is in full swing! Rudy Giuliani reminded the country that we are in the midst of a war that was declared upon us by Muslim terrorists. Arnold Schwarzenegger gave a touching speech on what it means to be an immigrant embracing the freedom that is found in America. Democratic Senator Zell Miller took his party to task for abandoning its Americanism. In a rousing speech, he took Democrat presidential candidate John Kerry to the woodshed over defense of the country, and the war against terrorism. Dick Cheney gave a solid performance, defining the need for strength in that war. He also took a wry shot at Kerry's description of "two Americas", coupled with Kerry's propensity to take more than one side of an issue. Said Cheney, the problem is that America sees "two Kerrys"! The convention is not even over, and George W. Bush has not given his acceptance speech yet, and he is already receiving a bounce in the polls, pulling away from John Kerry. It seems the more that Americans come to know the real Kerry, they less they like him. Kerry wants to bow to the interests of European socialist countries like France and Germany, and wants to put US forces under the direct command of the United Nations. He wants to treat terrorists as criminals, à la Bill Clinton, and wants to disengage in the war on terrorism. He vows to strike back at the enemy "after we are attacked". Mr. Kerry, does 9-11-2001 ring any bells in your memory? If Americans will remove their partisan blinders but for a moment, they will see that America cannot afford John Kerry as its President and Commander-in-Chief. |

Now that the dust from the 2000 Presidential election has settled, we need to lobby for: (1) Election day should a national holiday to allow an equal chance for all voters to go to the polls, not just union members, welfare recipients, and retirees. (2) All polls must be closed in the entire United States before news people can start projecting winners. (3) News stations, newspapers, and magazines must state their party affiliation or leaning. Opinions must be identified as such and not passed off as "news". (4) In close elections, there must be a
four-member canvassing board to review hand counts. They should consist of two
representatives of each party whose candidate stands to win or lose on the strength of the
recount. A minimum of three people must decide for whom the ballot was cast, else it is
rejected as a non-vote.
