Thoughts Afire!

05-28-2004

The DNC presses the attack with more lies. I hope the nation can see what a party of losers this group is!

05-27-2004

Kerry claims to have a "vision" for America. He has the vision of a blind man!

— New alliances with foreign countries;

— An updated military to meet terrorist threats;

— The use of diplomacy, intelligence, economic power and "the appeal of our values and ideas" to keep the country safe;

— Freedom from dependence on oil from the Middle East.

(1) The truth is that President Bush has allied with new friends in Europe. This is partly because "old friends" like France and Germany constantly stab us in the back.

(2) Bush has been working desperately to update the military after 8 years of decimation by the Clinton/Gore camp.

(3) Stop a terrorist bomb, bullet, or knife with values and ideas? C'mon!

(4) Democrats stopped domestic drilling; drove up the price of gasoline by insisting on special blends for different parts of the country and different times of the year: and insisted on such stiff  clean air regulations that a new oil refinery has not been built here in about 25 years.

This man has no vision for America! This man--and party--is blind!

05-26-2004

Kerry is still blaming President Bush for the high oil prices--his "attack-of-the-week". Arabs don't like the USA, and they control OPEC. Muslims don't like the USA because the country is thwarting their plans to rule the world. What would Kerry do to get the prices down--hand the USA over to the Arabs/Muslims?

Democrats keep complaining that the rest of the world is losing respect for the USA since the war on terrorism. I find this odd, as it was the Islamists who declared the war, not America. Let's put the blame squarely where it lies--on the terrorists.

05-25-2004

Kerry is still running on the "Vote for me, I 'm not Bush!" platform. It amazes me that half the country (according to polls) is going to vote for him, when he advances no ideas, no plans, and no vision for America.

05-24-2004

Hillary Clintion, unbiased non-partisan that she is, chimed in over the weekend to support Nancy Pelosi's wild and unfounded claims that the President is incompetent. (Unlike her husband, who was quite competent with the ladies, and with one intern in particular, but who gave the terrorists a pass every time that they killed Americans.)

05-21-2004

House Minority Leader (Democrat, of course!) Nancy Pelosi went on national television to condemn the President of being incompetetent. She accused him of having no knowledge, experience, or leadership ability. Tells you something about Ms. Pelosi!

Anyone like to have seen Al Gore, Jr., or John F. Kerry, at the helm on 9-11-2001? Not me!

The economy is in good shape, jobs are being added, the stock market is back up, and has been for awhile. So far terrorists, although threatening to do so, have not succeeded in another major attack. (Though more attacks are bound to come, as they figure out how to get past our security.)

The Taliban was routed in Afghanistan with little effort, and minmal loss of American life. Saddam Hussein has been removed, again, with minimal loss of American life, and found in hiding. Osma bin Laden is lying low.

No leadership?!? The Democrats are pulling out all the stops to demonize our President, one of, if not the, best Presidents in my lifetime! Nancy, grow up!

05-20-2004

Kerry says that he has a strategy to get our soldiers out of Iraq--he just won't say what it is. He mysteriously suggests that it has something to do with "foreign leaders". Would that be France and Germany?

05-19-2004

President Bush refuses to be suckered into Kerry's call for release of oil from the Strategic Reserve. Good for Bush! Experts have always said that such a release has little effect on prices, and depletes oil that is being stored for a true national emergency--such as the demands of a massive war, or other disruptions to supply.

Democrats, whose advocates like Al Gore cried for prices of $5 to $7 a gallon in order to stop people from using it, are suddenly "outraged" at the high price of gasoline. What hypocrisy!

Kerry admitted that it would be more of a "morale booster" than relief for prices. First of all, if the prices don't come down, there will be no "moreal boost". All there will be is more fodder for Democrats to then cry that the President failed to release enough! Furthermore, the morale would not be low if the Democrats would quit running down the President, the economy, and the war on terrorism.

05-18-2004

Now Kerry blames the President for high gasoline prices. The Democrats have apparently mounted an "attack-of-the-week" strategy to try to damage Mr. Bush. As if Kerry could magically make the price go down.

05-17-2004

Yasser Arafat has always been a terrorist. He continues to urge terrorism to this day. American administrations walk on eggshells around him, because of  "Arab outrage" at the suggestion that he stand down. Yet, the "Bush Doctrine" is to take on heads of state who support terrorism. Arafat is certainly one of those.

President Bush has rightfully called for a constitutional amendment to stop activist judges from trashing marriage in America. I pray that our congress will take up this righteous cause.

05-14-2004

Kerry is openly criticizing President Bush's leadership in the world, and the war against terrorists. He says that it is not a war, but a "criminal action". He needs to discuss that with Osama bin Laden, who has declared war on Americans and Christians. bid Laden will be shocked to learn that he is not the leader in a war, but a mere criminal. So will his Islamic foot soldiers.

He also falsely accuses the President of lying, saying that he will bring truth back to the White House. This from a man who says one thing one day, and the opposite the next, as he tries to curry favor with enough voters to get him elected. Bush is a breath of fresh air after Clinton, who had troubling figuring out what "is" is. Kerry in the White House would be a return to the atmosphere of the Clinton days. Tell the people what they want to hear--whether it is true or not.

05-13-2004

Liberals supposedly "outraged" over Iraqi prison photos have little to say about an Iraqi terrorist cutting off an American's head on camera, and posting it on the Internet for the world to see. They also had little to say when four American civilians were burned, hacked, dragged through the streets, and hanged from a bridge. You didn't see those photos on the TV every five minutes, with some liberal politician or Hollywood freak condemning the Muslims for their terrorism.

Tells us a lot about the Democrat party, doesn't it?

05-12-2004

If you want to sign a petition of support for Donald Rumsfeld, here is a link: http://www.gopusa.com/activist/petitions/.

Democrats uttered fake "outrage" over the Iraqi prison photos, and Ted Kennedy likens the American supervision of the prison to that of Saddam Hussein. Yet, when video was released of Muslims cutting off the head of Nick Berg, a 26-year-old American who went to Iraq seeking work, where was the liberal outrage? I am still waiting. Mr. Chappaquiddick?

Kerry, Kennedy, and company slam the President with something new every week. This is getting old, fast. I hope that Americans everywhere are getting as sick of those two, along with Daschle, Pelosi, and others, as I am!

05-11-2004

The so-called "Iraqi Prisoner Scandal" drags on. The Democrats are working tirelessly to make a mountain of a molehill. The negative press and the hammering of the President and Rumsfeld are not proportionate to the events that took place months ago.

Kerry still offers no plans, no agenda, no alternatives. His campagin is quite simply, "Bush is bad. I am not Bush."

05-10-2004

Kerry now slams Bush on insurance costs. Of course, the Bush administration would like to see a cap on lawsuits that are driving insurance costs up. Democrats won't agree to that.

The President and Rumsfeld need to stop apologizing now. They have made their point. Since Muslims and Arabs view apologies as a sign of weakness, too much of it can encourage further terrorism.

Democrats need to stop with the "Iraqi Prisoner Scandal" headlines and talking points. Most of us are getting tired of their blatantly partisan attempt to hurt the President before the election. Where was their outrage when American civilians were burned, hacked, and hanged from a bridge? I didn't hear antyhing then.

05-07-2004

Some hot-headed, partisan Democrats are still yowling that Rumsfeld should resign, or be impeached. Anything to defame the Bush Presidency. Kerry is still running on the platform, "I am not Bush."

05-06-2004

Democrats are howling for Rumsfeld to resign. I knew they would, as soon as I heard Hillary Clinton and others calling for an investigation all the way to the top. Even if not saying so publicly, I am also sure that they would love to see President Bush resign. Any excuse is better than none.

Kerry didn't waste much time in blaming the President for things that a few low-level soldiers did to the prisoners in Iraq.

Where was the Democrats' outrage when American civilians were burned to death, chopped to pieces, dragged through the streets, and hanged from a bridge?

Democrat hypocrisy is making me really sick to my stomach! Any distraction from Kerry is a blessing to the Democrats, as he reveals more of his loathsome characterisitcs every time that he opens his mouth.

05-05-2004

Swift Boat Viet Nam veterans have publicly come out against John Kerry. They say that he is unfit to be Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces. They give much the same reasons that have already convinced me. And someone needs to take a good, hard look at the anti-military, anti-government, and pro-communist Kerry of the 1970s, right after he left Viet Nam. This guy is dangerous to America!

05-04-2004

John Kerry is spending $25 Million in ads to "define himself" for the American public. "Redefine himself" would be more accurate. His record speaks for itself. Questionable war medals, anti-military and anti-government (but pro-communist) stance after he left Viet Nam, and decades of voting against defense bills. He has clearly defined himself over time. He is not who we need leading this country.

05-03-2004

There's a furor over American soldiers mistreating Iraqi prisoners. I hate that. I always expect Americans to behave well, wherever they may be in the world, and am disappointed when they do not.

But let us step back a moment and recall the killing, burning, multilation, dragging through the streets, and hanging from a bridge the bodies of American civilians who were in Iraq to help rebuild their country.

I rest my case.

Much ado about the anniversary of President Bush's speech on the Abrahma Lincoln a year ago. Democrats keep saying that he said that the war in Iraq was "Mission Accomplished" and that the war in Iraq was over. Read the speech. He never said any such thing.

Here are some excerpts:

"We have difficult work to do in Iraq.  We are bringing order to parts of that country that remain dangerous."

"The transition from dictatorship to democracy will take time, but it is worth every effort.  Our coalition will stay until our work is done."

"Our mission continues.  Al Qaeda is wounded, not destroyed.  The scattered cells of the terrorist network still operate in many nations, and we know from daily intelligence that they continue to plot against free people.  The proliferation of deadly weapons remains a serious danger.  The enemies of freedom are not idle, and neither are we.  Our government has taken unprecedented measures to defend the homeland, and we will continue to hunt down the enemy before he can strike.

"The war on terror is not over, yet it is not endless.  We do not know the day of final victory, but we have seen the turning of the tide.  No act of the terrorists will change our purpose, or weaken our resolve, or alter their fate. Their cause is lost.  Free nations will press on to victory."

Our President did not declare "Mission Accomplished", nor did he say that the war was over--quite the contrary.

Are you as sick of the Democrat lies as I am? Donate to the Bush campaign, and keep this good President in office.

Read the Republican Contract With America that liberals still refer to contemptuously, and see what you think (notice that Bill Clinton took credit for much of what it undertook).

Now that the dust from the 2000 Presidential election has settled, we need to lobby for:

(1) Election day should a national holiday to allow an equal chance for all voters to go to the polls, not just union members, welfare recipients, and retirees.

(2) All polls must be closed in the entire United States before news people can start projecting winners.

(3) News stations, newspapers, and magazines must state their party affiliation or leaning. Opinions must be identified as such and not passed off as "news".

(4) In close elections, there must be a four-member canvassing board to review hand counts. They should consist of two representatives of each party whose candidate stands to win or lose on the strength of the recount. A minimum of three people must decide for whom the ballot was cast, else it is rejected as a non-vote.
